I've always been fascinated by reproductive anatomy and human biology — I was the kid who actually looked forward to sex ed. I grew up in a female-dominated household, with a younger sister, a single mum, and attended an all-girls school, so being a girl has always been something I'm proud of. But even in a family where nothing was off-limits, the women around me carried a lot of negative beliefs about their own bodies. I inherited that narrative too, for a while — but it never felt like mine to keep.
That started to change when I began my degree. The more I learned about the human body, the more in awe of it I became, and the more respect I developed for my own — the old beliefs just didn't have room to survive that.
Girls Club is my way of giving girls the start of that same shift, right as they move through puberty.
Over three years as a women's health naturopath, I've sat across from hundreds of women who, as adults, still know very little about their bodies and hold very little respect for them. I've thought so often about how much suffering, shame, confusion and poor health we could prevent with better education, earlier.
I've also done a lot of my own work to unlearn those old beliefs and build real self-love. The confidence and freedom that's given me is something I want every girl to have the chance to feel.

Give your daughter the supportive coming-of-age experience you wish you had.
She can grow up feeling celebrated.
She will be educated about her body from a young age.
She will understand how to protect and keep her body safe.
She will know about the ways in which her body will change during puberty.
She will grow up feeling prepared, not scared.
She will be reminded that her body is strong, capable, and incredible – planting seeds of body appreciation and self-love at a young age so that her confidence in herself can grow.
Give your daughter a community where she belongs
