Meet your Practitioner
My Name is Amy I’m a BHSc-qualified Naturopath & mountain-loving Aussie who fell in love with Queenstown and never looked back.
I really truly believe I was born to do this work, that is to guide, educate & empower women towards better health.
The modern healthcare system never sat quite right with me. As a naturally curious person, I certainly didn't feel like I was getting the answers or solutions I desired. Naturopathy gave me those answers. It first helped me understand how my body functioned, so that I could figure out why and how that function was being impaired, and, at its core, it showed me that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when it's given the right support. That understanding changed how I approached my own health, and it's the same lens I now bring to my clients.

more about Naturopathy!
-
Naturopathic Medicine works under the knowing that the body is inherently capable of healing itself. Therefore, our goal is to help identify what might be in its way, or what extra support it might need to restore balance and heal.
-
Naturopathy can help with most health issues — though I'll admit, it won't reattach a finger you've accidentally sliced off. Where it really shines is with chronic, complex conditions: the kind where a doctor's usual answer is a pill to manage the symptoms, not address what's causing them. It's also incredibly effective for health issues that don't have a clear explanation & you don't feel like you have the answers or solutions you desire.
Think
- Infertility
- Women’s Health: Endo, PMOS, heavy, painful periods
- Chronic recurrent vaginal infections
- Skin issues: eczema, acne, rosacea
- Metabolic health: high cholesterol, insulin resistance
- Chronic stress
- Autoimmune conditionsect ect ect you get the picture :)
**Naturopathic medicine is not a complete substitute for conventional medical care, however it can help you eventually become less dependent on it.
-
A naturopathic diagnosis is different from a conventional one. Instead of looking at a single symptom in isolation, we look at the whole person — how your body systems connect and influence each other, and how your broader life circumstances play into your health.
During appointments I will determine a health timeline and communicate to you my best interpretation as to why your health has ended up where it is & what may be getting in the way of your healing.
I will then communicate with you what further information we might need to gain more clarity. Functional/standard pathology testing is used to gain a deeper understanding of what is happening inside your unique body so that we can be more targeted with our treatment.
-
Treatment is extremely individualised, as it should be! Naturopathic treatment tools include diet/nutrition advice, lifestyle modifications (sleep, stress, exercise, etc.), nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine, and referrals to other complementary health professionals as needed.
All treatments are aimed at supporting the body's innate healing capacity to bring about long-term and sustainable health.

Initial consultations are a deep dive — we chat through your health history, symptoms by body system, lifestyle, and diet. I then talk through a naturopathic diagnosis and give you a basic starting point for treatment.
Follow-up appointments: we get an update on any health changes or challenges, review testing if it's available, and adjust the treatment plan based on the new information gathered.
